The Clinical Investigation On The Mesangial Proliferative Glomerulonephritis Qi And Yin Deficiency And Dampness Heat Toxin And Blood Stasis Syndrome In Treating With Shen Li Kang Capsule

Objective: Shen Li Kang Capsule (SLKC) is one effective prescription to treat mesangial proliferative glomerulonephritis(MsPGN) by my advisor based on tens of years clinical experience.The study indicated that pathogenesis of the MsPGN is characterized by the deficiency of ben and excess of biao, spleen and kidney deficiency of qi-yin for the ben, dampness, heat, toxin and blood stasis for the biao, so establishing nutriting yin and activating blood, cooling blood and detoxifying, clearing heat and dampness,enhance the function of spleen and kidney. Pre-clinical research indicated that SLKC be effective in alleviating clinical symptoms and signs, improving physical and chemical indicators. The purpose of this study through clinical observation is to evaluate objectively the SLKC therapeutic effect of curing MsPGN and to explore its mechanism. Methods: We divice 60 paitients of MsPGN into SLKC group and contrast group (Shen Yan Kang Fu Pian) at randiom.Each group has 30 patients,which are treated by the same methods of modern medicime,such as resting, low salt and appropriate high-quality low-protein diet,descending blood pressure,premoting urination and giving immunosuppressive agents etc.In the same time Shen LiKang capscule is given to the SLKC group while ShenYanKangFuPian to the controls. The two groups are one course of treatment for four weeks, continuous medication after two treatments. In the two groups,the clinical symptoms and signs, the nature of urine albumen, the station of 24 hours urine albumen,urine red blood cell count, and the change of lipids, serum creatinine, blood urea nitrogen, plasma protein and liver function before and after treatment are observed respec tively. Results:From the results of clinical research, we can see that SLKC can not only alleviate symptoms and signs of the patients effectively, but also descend albuminuria and lipid ,and improve plasma protein,and control hematuria,and regulate immune, and improve hypercoagulable state, and alleviate the pathological changes of renal tissue,and protect the renal function of the patients dramatically. The total efficiency is 83.3%, which is better than the control group significantly.The long-term oral can consolidate the efficacy of the treatment process without any adverse reactions. ConcIusion:According to the results,we can conclude that SLKC is an efficient recipe for the insuffciency syndrome of qi-yin of spleen and kidney with wet, heat, toxic and blood congestion of MsPGN by delaying the progress of glomerular sclerosis,protecting the renal function,descending abluminuria, alleviating symptoms and improving life quality of the patients effectively. The therapeutic mechanicsm may have much to do with the regulating and enhancing the immunity, suppressing the inflammatory response, inhibiting mesangial cell proliferation and extracellular matrix accumulation, and delay the progress of glomerular sclerosis, improving the blood circulation in kidney and improving the glomerular filtration rate.
