Objective To investigate the short-term effect of high volume hemofiltration(HVHF) as the treatment for the patients with critically ill associated with acute kidney injury. Methods Selected 16 typical patients with critically ill associated with acute kidney injury, placed the catheter in the right femoral vein and treat with HVHF.Assessed the clinical indicators and the biochemical indicators before and after the treatment.Compared the indicators to evaluate the efficacy of HVHF as the treatment for the patients with critically ill associated with acute kidney injury. The statistics software SPSS16.0 was used to finish "t" test. Results All cases were survived after treatment and the heart rate, peripheral oxygen saturation, body temperature were stable at the normal range.Blood urea nitrogen and serum creatinine has dropped significantly after treatment(P<0.01).The mean arterial pressure of the patients significantly increased(P<0.01).The serum potassium, serum sodium and blood sugar level were stable at the normal levels at the end of treatment and the SAPSII score & ATN-ISI score had significantly decreased. Conclusion High volume hemofiltration(HVHF) as the treatment for the patients with critically ill associated with acute kidney injury have a good efficacy.
