| Objective:This study observed the effect of acupoint catgut embedding with Belt Channel combining with Spleen and Stomach Meridians on body weight, body mass index, body fat rate and basal metabolic level of patients with simple obesity of spleen deficiency and dampness stagnation, and compared with acupuncture therapy,so as to compare the difference of clinical efficacy between the two groups,so as to explore the clinical value of acupoint catgut embedding with Belt Channel combining with Spleen and Stomach Meridians in the treatment of this disease, and to provide the basis for the selection of acupoint catgut embedding therapy for simple obesity of spleen deficiency and dampness stagnation. Methods:A total of 66 patients with simple obesity(spleen deficiency and dampness stagnation type)were selected from the Department of acupuncture and moxibustion of Guanggu Branch of Hubei Provincial Hospital of traditional Chinese medicine from March 2019to December 2020.A completely randomized controlled design was adopted. The acupoint catgut embedding group and acupuncture group were replaced with groupⅠand groupⅡrespectively. There were 33cases in each group.GroupsⅠandⅡwere arranged in a row,and randomly scrambled with the rand()function of Excel to enter groupⅠand groupⅡaccording to the order of treatment. The acupoint catgut embedding group takes acupoint catgut embedding of Belt Channel combining with Spleen and Stomach Meridians. The first group selected acupoints:Daimai,Zhangmen,Wushu,Weidao,Diji,Xuehai,Zusanli,Fenglong(all double points);the second group selected acupoints:Daimai,Zhangmen,Wushu,Weidao,Sanyinjiao, yinlingquan,Shangjuxu,Liangqiu(all double points),and the two groups were buried alternately, and was treated once every 15 days,2times as a course of treatment. The acupuncture group selected the acupoints for the treatment of simple obesity in acupuncture therapeutics, and the prescriptions were:Zhongwan,Tianshu,Daheng,Quchi,Zhigou,Neiting,Fenglong,Shangjuxu, yinlingquan, plus Pishu,Zusanli. The acupuncture group was treated every other day and in other words was treated 3 times a week,12 times as a course of treatment, with 2 courses of treatment. Both groups were followed up fourth weeks after the treatment. The changes of body weight(kg),body mass index(kg/m~2),body fat rate(%)and basal metabolism(kcal)were recorded in the baseline period and after 2 courses of treatment in the two groups. The body weight(kg)and body mass index(kg/m~2)were recorded in the follow-up period, and the statistical differences before and after treatment and between the two groups were analyzed. At the same time, the effectiveness and safety were evaluated.Results:1.Baseline data:there was no significant difference in gender, age and course of disease between the two groups(P>0.05).2.Completion of the study:during the study period,a total of 66cases were included, including 1 case of termination in catgut embedding group,1 case of shedding,1 case of shedding in acupuncture group,31 cases in catgut embedding group and 32 cases in acupuncture group.3.Body weight(kg)before and after comparison In the baseline period, there was no significant difference between the catgut embedding group and the acupuncture group(P=0.874>0.05);After 2 courses of treatment, the comparison between the two groups before and after treatment was 0.000<0.05 compared with the P embedding group before and after treatment, and the comparison between the P acupuncture group before and after treatment was 0.000<0.05,with statistically significant differences between the two groups. After 2 courses of treatment, there was statistically significant difference between the catgut embedding group and the acupuncture group(P=0.003<0.05).4.Comparison of body mass index(kg/m~2)before and after:in the baseline period,P=0.075>0.05 was compared between the embedding group and the acupuncture group, and the difference was not statistically significant; After 2 courses of treatment, the comparison between the two groups before and after treatment was0.000<0.05 compared with the P embedding group before and after treatment, and the comparison between the P acupuncture group before and after treatment was 0.000<0.05,with statistically significant differences between the two groups. After 2 courses of treatment,P=0.030<0.05 was compared between the embedding group and the acupuncture group, and the difference was statistically significant.5.Comparison of body fat rate before and after(%):in the baseline period, the difference was not statistically significant(P=0.521>0.05)between the embedding group and the acupuncture group. After 2 courses of treatment, the comparison between the two groups before and after treatment was 0.000<0.05 compared with the P embedding group before and after treatment, and the comparison between the P acupuncture group before and after treatment was0.000<0.05,with statistically significant differences between the two groups. After 2 courses of treatment,P=0.000<0.05 was compared between the embedding group and the acupuncture group, and the difference was statistically significant.6.Comparison of basal metabolism(Kcal)before and after:in the baseline period, the difference between the embedding group and the acupuncture group was P=0.538>0.05,showing no statistical significance. After 2 courses of treatment, the comparison between the two groups before and after treatment was 0.000<0.05 compared with the P embedding group before and after treatment, and the comparison between the P acupuncture group before and after treatment was 0.000<0.05,with statistically significant differences between the two groups. After 2 courses of treatment,P=0.035<0.05 was compared between the embedding group and the acupuncture group, and the difference was statistically significant.7.Curative effect comparison:after two courses of treatment, the total effective rate of catgut embedding group and acupuncture group was 90%and 71%,respectively,with significant difference(P=0.018<0.05).8.Comparison of follow-up period:(1)In the comparison of body weight before and after treatment and follow-up period,in the intra group comparison, the follow-up period of the catgut embedding group was compared with the baseline period of the catgut embedding group and after 2 courses of treatment of the catgut embedding group by paired sample t test,P<0.05,then the difference was statistically significant;in the intra group comparison, the follow-up period of the acupuncture group was compared with the baseline period of the acupuncture group by paired sample t test,P<0.05,then the difference was statistically significant There was no significant difference between the two groups after treatment by paired sample t test(P>0.05);there was significant difference between the two groups after treatment by independent sample t test(P=0.001<0.05).(2)In the comparison of BMI before and after treatment and during the follow-up period,in the intra group comparison, there was significant difference between the catgut embedding group and the catgut embedding group in the baseline period by paired sample t-test(P<0.05);in the intra group comparison, there was no significant difference between the catgut embedding group and the catgut embedding group in the baseline period by paired sample t-test(P>0.05);in the intra group comparison, there was significant difference between the acupuncture group and the acupuncture group in the baseline period by paired sample t-test(P<0.05)There was no statistically significant difference between the acupuncture group and the acupuncture group after treatment by paired sample t-test(P>0.05);there was statistically significant difference between the two groups during the follow-up period(P=0.017<0.05).Conclusion:Both acupoint catgut embedding with Belt Channel combining with Spleen and Stomach Meridians and acupuncture have good therapeutic effects in the treatment of simple obesity. It has a good effect on improving body weight, body mass index, body fat rate and basal metabolic level, but catgut embedding group is better than acupuncture group in reducing body weight, body mass index, body fat rate and basic metabolism;when the two groups were followed up for4 weeks after the completion of treatment, catgut embedding group is better than acupuncture group in body weight and body mass index, and maintains long-term improvement. |
