Teachers are the main part of teaching and the quality of teachers decides the quality of teaching and talented people. The medical teaching is the important part of higher education. To adapt the prompt development of the modern clinical medicine and meet the need of its teaching reform, the training of the clinical teachers in medical colleges will be enforced and the quality of teachers will be improved. All this has been the important part in the process of higher medical education. The paper describes the true situation in the work and learning of the medical teachers using document consultation, observation, interview and logical analysis. It also discusses the environmental factors of excellent medical teachers and the in-service training system of medical teachers.The paper is divided into five chapters.The introduction states the reasons and concept definition and connotation analysis for the study of the growing of the medical teachers in higher medical colleges and the significance, the thoughts and the ways of the study.Chapter One describes the major development of three famous teachers. Firstly it evaluates their present situations. Secondly it describes in detail their formative process. Lastly it summarizes their cases.Chapter Two analyses theoretically the major development of medical teachers. It also provides studies on the complication and regularity and stage in their formative process. It gives a multidimensional analysis on the environment in their major development.Chapter Three provides the countermeasures and suggestions to professionalize the medical teachers in our country. It analyses the situation in professionalizing the medical teachers and its facing difficulty. It gives the countermeasures and suggestions to professionalize the medical teachers in our country from the perspective of society, school and human resources management.The conclusion gives the view that the growing of the medical teachers is a system project. The relationship between teachers, schools and society should be coordinated. It also states the shortcomings of the study and its future.
