Objective: To evaluate the clinical curative effects of Acupiontis Stiking Therapy in treatment of common cold(exterior cold-interior fever syndrome) and study its therapeatic mechanism.Method: Three hundred and twenty patients were radomized into two groups - treating and control groups, and were observed after one course of treatment. The treating group was treated with the method of Acupiontis Stiking Therapy, the control group was treated with Ribavirin and Ibuprofen. The changes of clinical symptoms and physical sign in all patients were observed before and after treatment.Results: The general or total efficacy rate achieved in treating group were 87.12%, which was significantly higher than the control group(73.25 %). After treatment the scores of main symptoms and physical sign in treating group were decreased than those in control group significantly (P<0.01 or0.05). The duration of abatement of fever in treating group was longer than control group respectively (P<0.01). The treating group were faster than the control group respectively about abatement of fever (P<0.05).Conclusion: The method of Acupiontis Stiking Therapy demonstrated satisfactory results in the treatment of common cold(exterior cold-interior fever syndrome). The main symptoms and physical sign of patients had been improved obviously. It has good effect in abating fever.This convenient and efficient method accorded with clinical treatment of Pediatrics of TCM, which can be applied as an external treatment of Traditional Chinese Medicine. |
