The Expression Of ALCAM In Hepatocellular Carcinoma And Its Relationship With PCNA And CD34

Objective:To investigate the expression of ALCAM and CD24 and their roles in the angiogenesis and tumor cell proliferation in hepatocellular carcinoma.Methods: The expression of ALCAM and CD24 in 40 cases of hepatocellular carcinoma,26 cases of paraneoplastic cirrhosis,7 cases of cirhosis and 5 cases of normal hepatic tissue were measured using flow cytometry technique (FCM). The expression of CD34 and PCNA of hepatocellular carcinoma were detected by immunohistochemistry. Microvessel density (MVD) was figured out according to the expression of CD34.The proliferation index of carcinoma cells in hepatocellular carcinoma tissue was figured out according to the expression of PCNA.Results1. Research Advances on activated leukocyte cell adhesion molecule(ALCAM)and its relationship with tumor progression1.1 The percentage of positive cell(58.01±13.52) and the mean fluorescence intensity(10.32±3.04) in tumor tissues were obviously higher than that in the paraneoplastic cirhosis,cirhosis and normal hepatic tissue(P0.05).1.3 ALCAM expression had positive correlation with proliferation index PCNA in ALCAM-positive case(P0.05).2. Research Advances on CD24 and its relationship with tumor progression 2.1 The percentage of positive cell(74.93±10.21) and the mean fluorescence intensity(19.14±4.83) in tumor tissues were obviously higher than that in the paraneoplastic cirhosis,cirhosis and normal hepatic tissue(P0.05).2.3 CD24 expression had positive correlation with proliferation index PCNA in ALCAM-positive case(P0.05).Conclusion:1. ALCAM up-regulated in HCC suggests that it may play important roles in the oncogenesis and progression of hepatoeellular carcinoma;The relationship between ALCAM and PCNA expression supposes that ALCAM may promote malignant proliferation of HCC cells.2. CD24 relates to the initiation and progression of hepatocellular carcinoma,contributes to the proliferation of hepatoma cell, and improve the aggressive ability of hepatoma cell.
