Objective: Directed by the theoretical framework of the a model of community health promotion , we investigated the residents'community care needs, the current status of community nurses'task, and the current status of community nurses'knowledge and skills,to make some comments and suggestions For the training of community nurses.Object:â‘ Community residents:male 346(85.9%),female 57(14.1%);The average number of resident was 3;â‘¡community nurses: All women, 18 years old to 57 years old;â‘¢managers of Community health service center.Method: A random sampling. by means of questionnaire, we investigated 403 residents in the South of jiefang road Community Health Service Center, 41 managers and 135 community nurses who worked in the yingze district of Taiyuan. Descriptive analysis and multifactor analysis were used.Results: residents hoped community nurses develop kinds of services from three aspects of community care. the top 5 of needs were community emergency ambulance, primary nursing at home,care of chronic disease of aged people ,nursing consultation,education of chronic disease prevention .community nurses'main tasks were primary nursing at home(more than 50% nurses ), care of chronic disease of aged people(more than 50% managers).nurses only mastered a small part of knowledge and skills of community nursing .Conclusions: residents put forward higher needs for community care services on disease care, disease prevention, and health promotion, but The current work of community nurses were mainly primary nursing at home and care of chronic disease of aged people. Work focused on disease care, disease prevention and health promotion involved less. Nurses mainly Serviced for the elderly. Community nurses'knowledge and skills would not meet the needs of residents. Community nurses should strengthen basic skills training, Focus on Nursing training should gradually shift from disease care to disease prevention and health promotion.
