Study Of Individualized Information Push Services In Hospital Research Projects

AIM: During the process of hospital development, the exploration of Medical Science and the application of achievements in medical research projects accelerated that course, which also brought more professional and more efficient healthcare services. Because hospital research projects are typical knowledge concentrated industries, they need large amount of information in their research so as to they can use the fruits of previous studies for reference. However, the current levels of information services could not feed the demand of project organizations not only in the model but in the contents. So it is necessary to develop a study about the model of information services.Methods & Contents:①In literature review, the current states about the matching between information supply and need in medical research projects and the application of push technology were analyzed in this paper. By introducing theories and methods of Just-In-Time Knowledge-Management (JIT-KW), the properties of information needs were defined and the knowledge deficiencies in different period of those projects were found out. Contracted with information services provided now, the types of un-matching models between those services and needs were identified. Characters of medical research projects considered, a new model of information services was proposed that it can serve those projects much better by integration the push technology.②In case study, a study about information services in Peking University First Hospital (PKUFH) was conducted.Results:①In programming period of project, there exited un-matching between information services and needs in time and content. The quality of information service can be improved by providing consultant service at the early time of this period.②In the process period, the time, contents and space un-matching between information service and need can be minimized by the introduction of a new further education program about subject libraries.③In order to improve the quality of final period of projects, process control in the first two periods of those projects must be emphasized.④A scientific research platform was built in PKUFH which can provide the news broadcasting services and the information push services about those persons who were highly experienced in some subjects or skills.⑤A individualized literature push platform was also built in PKUFH.Conclusions: Theories and methods of JIT-KW can be use in scientific research information services.
