| Objective: To investigate the effects of bromocriptine with different treatment of female infertility due to idiopathic hyperprolactinemia. Methods: From August 2004 to August 2006, 27 infertility patients treated by use of bromocriptine with different treatment methods were reviewed retrospectively at the first affiliated hospital of Dalian Medical University. The patients were randomly divided into 2 groups. Group 1 received continuous administration and group 2 accepted non-continuous administration. In group 2,if patients were in the administration of the menstrual cycle, the administration would stop when the next cycle come, then if not pregnant in this cycle, the patients could continue to be given bromocriptine. At the same time , all patients were supplemented with mulvital and promoting ovulation drugs. Results: There were 27 cases meeting the entry criteria, the group 1 of 12 cases, another group of 15 patients. There were no significant statistical difference between groups in average age, years of infertility, mean concentration of serum PRL(P>0.05). But pregnancy rate in group 2(80%) was significantly higher than that in group 1(50%)(P<0.05).Conclusion: Bromocriptine non-continuous administration could have on promoting pregnancy in patients with idiopathic hyperprolactinemia more favorable, suggesting that follicular phase of the PRL may not be too low to the follicle development and implantation. |
