With the development of the Internet, the evidence-based medicine and the complex health care system, the third Health revolution raises for optimizing people's survival environment, improving the quality of human life, and enhancing people's physical and mental health. Medical services no longer work for the traditional target to relieve suffering and save lives. Doctors'social values are not only curing some diseases but also exercising the patient's self-management and prevention as an important component. With the medical model developing from purely"biomedicine"to"biologicine - psychology - Social Medicine"mode, the patient's psychology and behavior changes, and their demand for information grows. With the development of the internet, people accesses to information easily, and was easily interfered by a lot of useless and misleading information at the same time. In the medical and health field the main performance is that although patients can get a lot of medical information from the internet, it is very difficult to ensure the quality of the information. Serious information's asymmetry still exists between the patient and the doctor. The patient's information demands and the gained health services are still in a tense relationship. In the above medical background, "information therapy" as a new medical model came into being, whose purpose is to establish an effective bridge between the health care system and the health service consumers, and realize the value of the information. Health care doesn't keep pace with the demand of personal information, and doesn't joint the technical progress with the demands of patients either, thus this model of medical care is incomplete, imperfect. Information therapy, to a certain extent, can play a role in solving this kind of problem. The paper is based on the application of information therapy model, starts from define of the information therapy, and deeply discusses the use of the information therapy in health-care system on the internet age. The purpose of this paper is to reduce the gap between the patient's demand for services and the actual access to health care services through using the information effectively, so that doctors and patients can joint participation and share with the information from prevention to diagnosis to rehabilitation after the diagnosis. The patients who already have been treated find the best treatment, and change the relationship between the patients and the medical staff. This paper is divided into five parts:The first part of is introduction; it contains the topics background, significance, and the development of the information therapy at home and abroad, as well as the main contents of this paper, and the methodologies in this paper. The research methodologies contain the literature survey, comparative analysis of law, social survey, and cases analysis. The second part mainly involves the content and forms of information therapy, its relationship with the information consulting and medical psychology and traditional medical model, and the Asymmetry Information theory, and the object, information application criterion and the value of the information therapy hierarchical model and so on. The third and fourth part is the core of the paper. We recruited 270 doctors in six hospitals and 240 social people in Changchun as a subject of investigation, according to survey data to grasp the application level of doctors and patients in the use of the medical information resources, the value of medical resources, and the awareness of information therapy and the supportive attitude towards information therapy and so on, and analyzed the restrictive factor in the application of information therapy. Based on this, we proposed suitable information therapy model according to China's national conditions and the corresponding measures, and analyzed its application cases. Part V contains concludes and prospects, including the work done in the paper, as well as the future prospects of the information therapy and the fault of the papers.Information therapy is a strategy in the process of the definition; it turned "hospital-centered" care into "patient-centered" care, and redefined the patients in the medical decision-making role as a partner or participant. At the same time, information therapy redefined the concept of information, changed the information from a related part of nursing care to a basic component of nursing care. But the information therapy can not be able to developed and perfect in a short period of time. The more the internet and technology develops the higher the resources shares, the greater convenience brings to people and also encountered the more difficulties triggered by the information therapy. The development of the information therapy will be even more complex in the future. How are we going to face and solve these problems is the goal that we need to explore in the future.
