Corydalis yanhusuo is one of well-known herbs that possess therapeutic effects for promoting blood circulation, reinforcing vital energy and alleviating paia The major active compounds are considered to be alkaloids. In our research, extraction and purification of alkaloids from Corydalis yanhusuo were studied, and ten alkaloids were isolated and purified by semi-preparative HPLC. Ten alkaloids were rapid identified by liquid chromatography-diode array detection-electrospray ionization mass spectrometry. And the contents of ten alkaloids in Corydalis yanhusuo of ten different origins were reviewed. At the same time, three metabolisms of tetrahydropalmatine were analyzed by LC-DAD-MS/MS in the first stage. Then we one metabolism was obtained by semi-preparative HPLC. The metabolism was identified by MS and NMR.
