Studies Of Yiqi Yangyin Jiedu Recipe In Treatment With Non-small Cell Lung Cancer

Objective: To observe the effect and the influence to immune system of Yiqi Yangyin Jiedu Recipe in treating non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), and discuss its mechanism by experimental and clinical studies.Methods: In our experimental studies, Lewis lung cancer and S₁₈₀ sarcoma animal model in mouse were founded and treated with Yiqi Yangyin Jiedu Recipe, the animals' behavior was observed; the ratio of inhibiting tumor was calculated; and T lymphocyte subset, NK cell was measured.In our clinical study, a combined method of chemotherapy (CAP or MFP) with Yiqi Yangyin Jiedu Recipe was practiced and controlled with the method of chemotherapy only in treating NSCLC,and CEA,CYFRA21-1 were measured.Results: The animal experimental study showed that the Yiqi Yangyin Jiedu Recipe has obvious inhibiting effect to Lewis lung cancer and S₁₈₀ sarcoma in animal models. The tumor inhibiting effect of CTX group, Yiqi Yangyin Jiedu Recipe group, the combined group were higher than control group (P<0.05); there were statistical significance between the combined group and CTX group (P<0.05). The level of CD3⁺, CD4⁺, CD4⁺/CD8⁺ and NK cell were obviously improved in the Yiqi Yangyin Jiedu Recipe group and combined group compared with control(P<0.05), but it was declined in the CTX group (P<0.05).The clinical study showed that there were no statistical significance as for efficient ratios of the two groups (P>0.05); in the combined method treating group, the patients' symptoms of cough, emptysis, fever, anorexia were greatly improved, and the side effect was lowered than the control group (P<0.05); the quality of life, T lymphocyte subset and NK cell were higher than the control group (P<0.05). The levels of CEAå’ŒCYFRA21-1 were descent in both two group in some extent, and only the combined group has statistical significance compared with the control group (P<0.05).Conclusions: In treating NSCLC, Yiqi Yangyin Jiedu Recipe combined with chemotherapy could greatly improve the nutrient condition of the body and metabolism, improve the tolerance to chemotherapy, reduce the side effects, protect the immune system, increase quality of life, protect marrow function and counteract the reduction of leukocyte induced by chemotherapy. From all above effects of Yiqi Yangyin Jiedu Recipe, we could conclude that Yiqi Yangyin Jiedu Recipe can guarantee the chemotherapy course finished smoothly.
