Objective1.The endothelial diastolic function of arteria iliaca external in rabbits with artherosclerosis(AS)were inspected in different time by ultrasonograph,to investigate the relation between endothelial function and AS.2.To investigate the relation between hypercholesterolemia,hyperhomocysteinemia and AS.Methods1.24 male New Zealand rabbits were randomly divided into 2 groups,hypercholesterole group were raised by hypereholesterole(n=12)and hypermethionine group were raised by hypermethionine(n=12).2.At the 0th,4th and 8th week of the experiment,ATLS000 color ultrasonograph were used to observed the image,dependent and independent diastolic function of vessel endothelium in arteria iliaca external in rabbits.3.As well as,4ml blood were taken from the vein of ear and blood lipid(cholesterol and low density lipoprotein cholesterol)and homocysteine were detected.4.Meanwhile,2 rabbits in each group were executed.Arteria iliaca external were taken out and observed by electron microscope and light microscope.Results1.The level of blood lipid in hypercholesterole group was higher at the 4th week than the 0th.Correspondingly,the level of blood homocysteine in hypermethionine group was higher at the 4th week(P<0.05).2.At the 4th week,dependent diastolic function of vessel endothelium in arteria iliaca external in rabbits downregulated(P<0.05)and independent function was normal(P>0.05)compared to the 0th.At the 8th week,dependent and independent diastolic function of vessel endothelium in arteria iliaca external in rabbits were downregulated(P<0.05).3.By light microscope,at the 4th week the structure of the arteria iliaca external were normal,endothelium cell partly sheded and elastic layer breaked at the 8th week.By electron microscope,the cell organs of endothelium cell had changed at the 4th week. Conclusion1.Hypercholesterolemia and hyperhomocysteinemia are important risk factors of AS.2.Dependent diastolic dsyfimction of vessel endothelium occurred earlier than independent diastolic dsyfunction of vessel endothelium Endothelium cell had been damnifyied at forepart of AS.3.Examining function of vessel endothelium can forecast the existence of AS.4.Ultrasonography is an effective method to evaluate the function of vessel endothelium.
