| Purpose: The present paper intends to investigate the understanding and suggestions from students on technology academy to college level, teachers and experts on nursing education through surveys. Results of the study, combined with the real situation in our school, will provide a sound foundation for course setup in nursing education on technology academy to college level.Objects of studyGradates and sophomores on technology academy to college level, some teachers and experts on nursing education.Methodology: Literature review and cross section studyResults: 1,86.6% of graduates on technology academy to college level are engaged in clinical nursing, 8.0% in nursing education , 2.7% in teaching administration and 2.7% in community nursing. In the survey, nobody is found to take up nursing administration and nursing research.2,86.37% of graduates and 73.68% of faculties speak highly of graduates working abilities , 76.99% of graduates and 61.40% of faculties speak highly of graduates teaching abilities. They think that graduates grasp basic nursing knowledge and specialized nursing knowledge well but nursing research and humane studies poorly.3,On course setup evaluation, on technology academy to college level, courses on nursing are over established while more than half of the students believe that clinical courses are over put up.4,Survey on the importance and necessity of setting up public courses show that part of teachers suppose English and law are important courses ; faculties come to a consensus on English, Statistics and Law and regulations; part of students agree thatEnglish is an important course and it is necessary to put up English and Law and regulations5,Survey on the importance and necessity of setting up medical courses indicates that part of faculties reach an agreement on vitality of pharmacology and anatomy; while some students have distinct opinions, which is affected by reform of 2007 examination for post -graduates candidates.6,Survey on the importance and necessity of setting up nursing courses demonstrates that all reach a consensus on offering basic nursing ,surgical nursing and gynaecological nursing while differ on the necessity of offering, which is connected with disciplinary repetition in nursing specialized courses at different levels: technology academy to college level and technology academy level.Conclusion of study1,Course setup in nursing mainly involves developing clinical capability and in the meanwhile gives consideration to foster teaching, administration and research abilities. Seen from the survey, strengthening communicative, administrative and researching training is in great demand.2,Repetition of specialized courses in course setup can be solved through course unification and course structure. Specialized courses on technology academy to college level involve life period, exploring physiology, psychology and social traits of people from different life periods and existing or potential health problems and their nursing involvement. Such courses can reduce repetition of specialized courses on technology academy to college level and in the meanwhile can enhance sense of comprehensiveness of course setup that does good to the development of nursing.3,Add community nursing and health care, on one hand , it can be adjusted to national health policies ad on the other hand it can contribute to employment.4,Conduct clinical practice reasonably and strengthen cultivation of students' abilities.5,Offer courses on humanism to improve humane qualities and be aware that joint efforts have to be made to achieve improvement of humane qualities.Problems to be further discussed1,Proportion problem between basic courses and specialized courses2,Specific course setup in humane study and its display in nursing practice3,Proportion problem between theoretical and practical courses and combination between them...
