The Related Factors Of Depression In Patients With Climacteric Women

Objects:To investigate the correlation of psychosocial factors,personality characteristic, and biological factors on the depressivestate so as to provide a theorical basis for active interventionfor climacteric women.Methods:â‘ Gynecologic climacteric outpatients who were devidedinto two groups, investigation group and control group, were assessedwith HRSD(Hamilton Depression Rating Scale for Depression),EPQ(Eysenck Personality Questionaire), social support scale,LES(life event scale).â‘¡The data was expressed by((?)±s),statistical analyzing with SPSS10.0.Results:â‘ A significant difference existed in two groups amongnegative life events, social support, E₂ level, and personality (Nfactor) (P＜0.05).â‘¡With multiple linear regression analysis, thefour variable were included in the equation built by SPSS 10.0statistical package.â‘¢Beta of personality (N factor) among multiplelinear regression analysis showed was 0.3917 and Beta of E₂ level was0.4028.Conclusion:â‘ The depressive state in climacteric women iscorrelated with life event, social support, N factor and E₂ level.â‘¡The factors positive correlated with this are negative life events,N factor. The factors negative correlated with this are socialsupport, E₂ level.â‘¢To Beta of multiple linear regression analysisshowed personality (N factor) was so important as the level of E₂to the depressive state in climacteric women.
