[Objective] By investigating the quality of life and ovarian function of young patients suffering from uterus malignancies with ovarian preservation, to evaluate the effectiveness of ovarian transposition and the influences of different postoperative adjunctive therapies on ovarian function in young patients with cervical cancer , and to assess the safety of ovarian preservation in young patients with endometrial carcinoma.[Methods] A follow-up investigation was carried out by letter, telephone and out-patient clinic visit among two-hundred-sixty-eight cervical cancer patients who had operations with ovarian preservation under the age of forty in our hospital between January 1st, 1999 and August 31st, 2005 and forty-seven patients with endometrial carcinoma who underwent operations under the age of forty in our hospital between January 1st, 1995 and December 31st, 2004.
