Objective: To investigate Endocrinological function after ovarian transposition and radical hysterectomy in patients with cervical cancer. Methods: Thirty two patients underwent radical hysterectomy, pelvic lymphadenectomy and bilateral ovarian transposition, and the endocrinologica1 function was determined by evaluating kupperman index,Pittsburgh sleep quality index, the levels of follicle stimulating hormone, luteinizing hormone, estrovite and progesterone in serum, basal body temperature and the changement of color, elasticity and excretion of the vagina one month, three month and six month after operation. Results: There was no difference in kupperman index ,PSQI score and hormones between preoperative and postoperative cases (P > 0.05) . Colors, elasticity and secretion of vagina had no obvious changement. The basal body temperature showed diphase variety. Ovarian cysts combined with clinical symptoms were found in two patients as one of complications after ovarian transposition and vanished three months later. Conclusion: There was no abnormality of ovarian endocrinological function in the cases received bilateral ovarian transposition.Ovarian transposition could avoid further endocrinological function damage in cervical cancer patients when further postoperation radiotherapy was imperative. Kupperman index, PSQI score combined with hormones level, colors, elasticity and secretion of vagina amd basal body temperature could give an allround and precise appreciation on endocrinological function of the ovary after operation. Ovarian cyst was the most common complication after ovarian transposition which could spontaneous cure later.
