Background and ObjectivesGansu is a representative province of poverty area in China, which is limited to its economic status and natural conditions, lagging behind in its civilization, education and health career. The state-owned health facilities are the main body of health structure and function part of the services offering to patients. However, the health resources is relatively scarce in the vast rural area, which directly impacts the working efficiency and return to scale of the health facilities. Therefore analyzing the relation of input & output in different state-owned facilities, evaluating their efficiency are of importance to the resources allocation and social & economic benefit.The major objectives of this study are :(1) Seeking for variety trend and status quo of different facilities through the survey of different historical data; (2)How to readjust the health strategy in order to increase the working efficiency ; (3) exploring the application of production function and performance appraisal method in the use of input/output analysis. MethodIn the study, the county of Longxi, Dangchang, Yuzhong, Shandan have been chosen as the sample objects.In the county station, the county level hospital ,county level traditional medicine hospital, county pregnancy and youth health care centre, county centre for disease control(CDC) are the precise sample facilities. In addition, three township health centres are stochasticly chosen as the sample objects in the town level.
