| Objective To investigate the relationship between nitricoxide(NO) and the pathogenesis of senile cataract group , 2-diabetic cataract group with the development of cataract Methods:The levels of NO in serum and in aqueous humor which were obtained from 20 senile cataract patients, 25 diabetic cataract patients, were detected by high performance ultraviolet -ray spectrophotography, and expressed by the total NO-2.Result:The mean levels of NO in serum of senile cataract with the worse sight group were significantly higher than bad sight group. (P<0.01). The mean levels of NO in serum of diabetic cataract group were significantly higher than those of senile cataract group (P<0. 01).The mean levels of NO in serum of diabetic cataract with the worse sight group were significantly higher than bad sight group. (P<0. 01).The mean levels of NO in aqueous humor of diabetic cataract group were significantly higher than those of senile cataract group Conclusion :The levels of No are related to the pathogenesis of cataract. The levels of NO in serum increase in patients with senile cataract and diabetic cataract. The levels of NO influence the development of the two kinds of cataract, the levels of NO inaqueous humor increase in two group patients, therefore the increase of levels of NO in serum and aqueous humor is closely related to the pathogenesis of cataract. |
