Objective: Overtraining can produce rhabdomyolysis, and then induce acute renal failure (ARF). How to prevent and treat overtraining-induced ARF is an important topic. To investigate the mechanism of renal damage, An experimental ARF model was induced by glycerol injection in SD rats to simulate overtraining-induced ARF. To investigate the proapoptic mechanisms of Bid, we observed the apoptosis of kidney during ARF and the activation of Bid. And we observed the protective effect of 654-2 to glycerol-induced ARF.Methods: 1 Groups: 45 SD rats were divided into 3 groups, quiet control group, ARF group and 654-2 group. And every group was divided into 3 sub-groups,1 hour-group( 1 hour after glycerol injection ), 6 hour-group( 6 hours after glycerol injection ) and 24 hour-group( 24 hours after glycerol injection ). 2 ARF was induced by glycerol injection: (1) ARF group, rats had been banned to water before the experiments, then were injected into muscle of two hind limbs with 50% glycerol, a dose of 10ml/kg. (2) 654-2 group, before glycerol injection, 654-2 was injected into abdominal cavity of rats. (3) Sample, 5 rats of etch group were sacrificed after glycerol injection at different time. 3 Kidneys of...
