Clinical Study On Treatment Of Dry Eye With Chinese Herbs Combined With Autologous Serum

Objective: Chinese herbs combined with autologous serum were used to treat the dry eye, which could provide a more effective way and better method. At the same time, the main related factors of dry eye were selected according to the present diagnosis and treatment of it,which could offer the foundation of diagosis for the clinical practice. Methods: We observed the symptoms and related factors from 33 patients, and choosed 10 patients, two eyes each,who had the whole data.We evaluated the results of Schirmer test,fluorescein staining, tear film breakup time,and subjective symptom scores before and after the treatment,and compared them with the control group. Results: The effective rate of the treated group was 85%. Mean BUT,Schimer test and fluorescein staining scores,as well as subjective symptom scores showed significant improvement in the patients assigned to the treated group after treatment. The treated group was prior to the control group. Conclusions:Chinese herbs combined with autologous serum eyedrops was effective in treatment of dry eye,as evidenced by improvement of the Schirmer test,tear film stability and the scores of fluorescein and symptom.
