Study On Health Condition Of Centralized Air Conditioning System In Public Place In Jining

Background: With the rapid development of economy and the progress of society, more and more centralized air conditioning systems were used in city buildings, especially in supermarkets and hotels. Centralized air conditioning system brought us not only comfort, but also potential danger. According to national and foreign study data, there were several causes related to air pollution caused by centralized air conditioning system, such as long time circulation, people's lacking of health consciousness and improper disinfection etc.Purpose: In order to know the health condition of centralized air conditioning systems in public places in Jining, we made an investigation from July to December in 2005 and found some questions, which supplied reference to improving the health condition of these public places, strengthening health supervision. Some suggestions were given, which would help providing Jining people a healthier and more comfortable environment.Methods: 15 public places with centralized air conditioning systems controlled directly under Jining City Epidemic Prevention Station were chosen. 220 people were chosen to answer a questionnaire about knowledge of the centralized air conditioning system. We did a descriptive analysis of the general condition of the public places and the supervision condition of the centralized air conditioning systems in the public places. A contrastive analysis between the examining status and national standard was made. And we also compared the difference of the knowing status among the chosen people. The analysis indexes included sample pass rate, ratio and knowing rate of the health knowledge.
