IntroductionThe incidence of acute pancreatitis is continually increased in recent years. And mortality of severe acute pancreatitis can reach to 15% ~20%.The disorder of glucose is a general and also very important sign in acute pancreatitis. And edema, hemorrhage, necrosis of acute pancreatitis can make insulin secreting and excreting disorder. Therefore it becomes very significant to measure Glucose , Serum Insulin And C—peptid in different phase and to study the relationship between the measured data and disease evolution.MethodsOne hundred and sixty cases of acute pancreatitis that received suigical treatment in 3 years were analyzed .All the patients were categourized into three groups by the severity of diseases: GroupA(mild acute pancreatitis), GroupB (severe acute pancreatitis Ⅰ level), GroupC (severe acute pancreatitis Ⅱ level). In additiontwenty healthy age-matched controls were also studied. Measure Glucose > Serum Insulin and C—peptid of each group at the time just disease begin, 24 hours after admission, 48 hours and 14 days after admission.Continuous descriptive data are displayed as mean + SD. Compa -risons of groups were performed using ANOVA and rate of groups were performed using binomial distribution. Test of correlation were also performed by linear regression.Results1. Within 6 hours form the disease begin , the glucose ^ serum insulin and Opeptid of patients with acute pancreatitis in three groups showed notable differences in contrast to the control group, And there are also signigicant difference among GroupA , GroupB and GroupC. It shows that the more severity of the disease the higer level of the blood glucose , the serum insulin and C— peptid. 2. There are signigicant difference among GroupB , GroupC and control group while there is no manifest difference in serum insulin and C—peptid between GroupA and control group 24 hours after admission and 48 hours after admission. At the same time there are signigicant difference among GroupA , GroupB and GroupC in rates of hige blood glucose count . It shows that the more severity of the disease the lower level of the serum insulin and C—peptid andalso the higer rates of hige glucose count. 3. When in the time of 14 days later ,GroupB and GroupC still showed notable difference in rates of hige blood glucose count and in the serum insulin and Opeptid Level between control group.ConclusionIt is suggest that blood glucose -. serum insulin and Opeptid could be important parameter to estimate the degree of acute pancreatitis.
