Study On Assessing Quality Of Life In Community Diabetes Patients And Its Effective Factors

[Object] Surveying the community diabetes patients in Xiaolongqiao community Chenghua district Chengdu city by questionnaire,and applying SF-36 instrument and the instrument of Diabetic Quality of Life (DQOL)to assess quality of life;then discussing the risk factors to life quality,comparing the application of the tow instruments for the sake of the intervention afterwards.[Method] Xiaolongqiao community was chosen as study field in Chenghua district Chengdu city. Investigate the collected 196 diabetes patients by cross-section study. The community doctors and I interviewed the patients face to face,and one percent of the patients were chosen as preliminary survey.The data were constituted under Visual-foxpro6.0.The major statistical analysis described by SPSS11.5 as follows: the general characteristics ,the quality of life and its effective factors. [Result] The tow instruments SF-36 and DQOL showed the similar results that the disease had the effect on three dimensionalities such as general health,role-physical,role-emotional,but less influenced physical function,social function.The result of SF-36 instrument showed that integrated infective factors included age,kinesitherapy,possession or income decreasing,silent angry and insulin therapy.The coefficient was 0.815 between quality of life and SF-36 instrument.theresult of DQOL instrument showed that integrated effective factors included possession or income decreasing,dose and treatment under doctor's advise, apt to tense,insulin therapy and kinesitherapy. The coefficient was 0.759 between quality of life and the DQOL instrument.The both instruments had reflected the diabetes quality of life.The canonical coefficient between the two instruments was 0.757 and they had definite relativity.[Conclusion] Applying instruments of life quality to assess the diabetes patients,we can know about the physical,emotional and social functions.lt can factually reflect the effect of the disease and treatment.when comprehensive rehabilitation approach is applied,psychological support and psychiatric aberration must be stressed in order to make the patients look on the disease correctly,amend bad mood,cooperate with the doctors actively.The knowledge of the disease and the consciousness of self health care must be improved to fetch favorable psychologic diathesis,postpone the complication and enhance the patients' quality of life.
