Investigation And Analysis On Health Locus Of Control, Coping Styles And Depression Of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

Objective1. To explore the characteristics of health locus of control,coping styles and depresstion with type 2 diabets patients .2. To explore the relations between health locus of control , coping styles and depression with type 2 diabetes patients.3. To explore the influence factors of health locus of control .coping styles and depresstion with type 2 diabetes patients .Methods:A total of 162 patients with type 2 diabetes were evaluated with Multidimensional health locus of control scale, Simplified coping style scale and Self-rating depression scale. Study The step of study is:Testing the reliability and validity of these scales; Issuing the questionnaire face to face;processing the data;adopting the software package of SPSS12.0 to analysis the data. Results:1 . The difference of health locus of control,coping styles and depresstion between type 2 diabetes patientsThe difference of health locus of control between type 2 diabetes patients and model had a statistically significant.The type 2 diabetes patients had a lower internal health locus of control than model(P<0.001); The type 2 diabetes patients had a higher powerful others or chance health locus of control (P<0.001).The difference of active coping style between type 2 diabetes patients and model had a statistically significant(P<0.05).The type 2 diabetes patients had a higher active coping factors than model ; The difference of passive coping style between type 2 diabetes patients and modelhad a statistically significant P<0.001).The type 2 diabetes patients had a lower passive coping factors than model.2. The depression in type 2 diabetes patients32% patients had no depression , 67.9% patients had depression , including 46% with mild, 47% with moderate, 7% with severe depression.3. The correlation analysis on health locus of control,coping style anddepresstion of type 2 diabetes patientsThere was a significantly postive correlative relation between IHLC and active coping factors( r=0.2567);There was a significantly negative relation between IHLC and depresstion (r=-0.1867);There was a significantly postive correlative relation between CHLC and passive coping factors( r=0.3405) ; There was a significantly postive correlative relation between CHLC and depresstion( r=0.1955);There was a significantly postive correlative relation between PHLC and active coping factors ( r=0.2879);There was a significantly negative relation between PHLC and depresstion;( r=-0.2043);There was a significantly negative correlative relation between active coping factors and depresstion( r=- 0.4716).4.The influence factors of health locus of control ,coping styles and depresstion with type 2 diabetes patientsBMI(0R=0.670),Labor character(0R=0.366),FBG (0R=0.535)and HDL-C(0R=0.605) were influence factors of IHLC ;Labor character (0R=3.292),FBG(0R=1.531) .Diatery chang(0R=0.145),Daily foot inspection (0R=0.341)and Taking medicine on time by doctor(0R=0.368) were influence factors of CHLC;HbAlc(0R=0.536),TG(0R=0.759) and HDL-C(0R=0.576) were influence factors of PHLC;FBG(0R=0.480), Occupation(0R=2.316),TG(0R=0.639),Illness duration(0R=0.724), Diatery chang(0R=4.253) and Infecting insulin on time by doctor(0R=1.888) were influence factors of the active coping style;Age(0R=0.470),Lobor character(0R=2.784),Family history (0R=0.261)and Symptoms of hypoglycemia(0R=0.281) were influence factors of the passive coping style; BMI(0R=0.597),Education (0R=0.457)and Economic status (0R=0.775)were influence factors of depresstion . Conclusions1. The characteristics of health locus of control with Type 2 diabetes patients is external health locus of control. So nursing can make use of the characteristics of health locus of control to improve patient's innemal control.2. Type 2 diabetes patients much to adopt active coping style after falling ill.but less to adopt passtive coping style .So nursing should encourage patient adopt coping styles vividly under the different condition.3. The depress status of type 2 diabetes patients is relation with health locus of control and coping styles. So nuring should value the mentalfeeling of the patient and give the patient agressive concern ,to avoid the feeling of helpless and hopeless from patient.4. The metabolism control and self-management ability of type 2 diabetes patients can affect the health locus of control,coping styles and depresstion of type 2 diabetes patients. So nursing should enhance diabetes education to improve patient'self-management ability and to control metabolism sign in the ideal level.Suggetions for further study1.
