Objective To evaluate the outcome of pregnancy after hysteroscopicadhesiolysis, and analysis the relevant factors of the outcome ofpregnancy.Method Retrospective study on the outcome of pregnancy afterhysteroscopic adhesiolysis. 77 hysteroscopic adhesiolysis were carriedout between Jan. 1999 and Jan. 2004, 68 patients presenting inintrauterine adhesions. 13 factors were analyzed including age ,reproductive performance, repeat curettage, adhesions tissue, adhesionsseverity and extent, postoperative resumption of menses follow time etal. Results 48 pregnancies were achieved in 68 of patients (70.59%) ,including: 42 childbirth, 5 spontaneous abortions and one fallopian tubepregnancy. 45 cases conceived and 41 cases delivered viable infants. 61.76% of the pregnancies resulted in a term or viable preterm infant. Of the 42 childbirth, one had a premature delivery in 34 pregnancy weeks, 5 had abnormal fetal position, 3 had threatened abortion and just 2 of 3 cases accompanied with placenta adhesions, one had intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy, the rate of cesarean section is 73.81% (31/42) . The rate of pregnancy a term or viable preterm infant in the restoration of normal menses group was 74.36% (29/39) , the restoration of abnormal menses group was 41.38% ( 12/29 ) . Postoperative resumption of menses is normal or not and following time were the two factors related to the outcome of pregnancy after hysteroscopic adhesiolysis(P<0.05).Conclusions the outcome of pregnancy after hysteroscopic adhesiolysis is not too bad, these pregnancies were at high risk for abortion, premature delivery and abnormal placentation, which have to be monitored intensively and treat appropriately. The first year after hysteroscopic adhesiolysis is more facilitative to get a viable infant. Postoperative resumption of menses is normal or not affects the outcome of pregnancy after hysteroscopic adhesiolysis.
