| This program sources the army "Fifteen" main project research of "military nursing supplement medical chest" (program number: 02Z004).Modularity is a very general set of principles for managing complexity. Modularity methods have also played an important role in army medical support. The research applied modularity principles in design of military nursing supplement medical chest. It provided some references for improving nursing medical support abilities in the future war. The research included three parts:Part 1, Introduce of modularity principle and modularity trend in building of army medical supportAt first, introduce the concepts, principles and methods of modularity. What is module? And what is modularity? These are the questions we should answer firstly. Modules are co-operative subsystems that form a product, manufacturing system, business etc. modules have their main functional interactions within rather than between modules, modules have one or more well defined functions that can be tested in isolation from the system. And modules are independent and self contained and may be combined and configured with similar units to achieve a different overall outcome. As a new type of methodology, Modularity applied several thinking methods synthetically, and system principles and methods, standardization principles and methods and general logic thinking methods were three basis theories of modularity. The phases of modularity methodology were now expanded: modularity business analysis, modularity system analysis, modular definition, modular architecture, module design and module specification.Now modularity has become an important impetus to push technology innovation and product innovation. Medical equipments are important factors of medical support. Quick response is the first remand to cope unexpected incidentsin modern war. To answer to new remand of medical support in future war, there is a modularity trend in medical equipments building and development in foreign countries. These offers referable experiences for the modularity design of nursing medical chest.Part 2, Modularity designs of military nursing medical equipment system.In the background of future high-tech war, the function and structure of military nursing medical chest have close relations with quality of nursing medical support. This part regarded the nursing medical chest as a complex system to research. The basic tasks of field nursing, that is also the object function of nursing medical chest, were decided based on literature search and Delphi methods. There were four basic functions: emergency nursing, critical patients nursing, nursing for the light wounded and sick, and nursing for special weapon trauma patients.Based on the object function of nursing medical chest, to analyze the items of nursing operations by literature analyses method. Then using B.S. method, nursing specialists were invited to discuss the program, and their ideas were analyzed and synthesized. Consultation and evaluation about the primary elements of nursing medical chest was implemented by Delphi methods. Finally the basic elements of nursing medical chest were decided.Applying the modularity decomposability method decompounded nursing medical system. A basic modularity decomposability project was obtained. And a three-layer modularity structure was agreed by Delphi method.Part 3, Modularity assembly and simulated experiment of military nursing medical equipment systemModularity assembly project design was the process that: analyzing the task and function of nursing of different medical layer in future war; choosing and combining the modules of nursing medical system; developing the quick responsible field nursing support system; and establishing the nursing medical modularity assembly project.
