Effect Of Recombined Human Epidermal Growth Factor On Proliferation Of Human Epithelial Cells

Objective To provide corneal epithelial transplant forcorneal surface reconstruction .Method The amniotic membrane preserved in glycerinwas used as a carrier for growing limbal corneal epithelial cells in vitro.Results Histological and ultrastructural study of the cultured corneal epithelium showed that the cultured corneal epithelium was quite simil-ar in histological structure and ultrastructural to those in vivo.Conclusion The corneal epithelium cultured on theamniotic membrane may prove to be potential grafts for corneal epithelium transplantation.
