Agriculture irrigation is the first user of water consumption, and the proportion of its water consumption is more than 70 percent of the whole consumption in nation. The water resources of northern area in china have been increasingly short and the contradiction between water supply and demand are getting worse, some places have already faced with water crisis. Therefore adopting the methods of water-saving agriculture is not only the chief way to solve the water shortage in northeastern area, but also is a necessary step to realize agriculture modernization of our country. So the water-saving agriculture will play a quite important role on safeguarding sustainable national economy development steadily. Evaluating the methods scientifically and rationally is needed for developing water-saving agriculture according to present circumstances.The paper, which is based on sustainable developmental theory, and combined in the actual conditions of the researched regions closely, has got further profound and systematic research on evaluation index system and assessment methods in agricultural water-saving in northeast semi-arid and anti-drought irrigation area of China.1.My chief results are:(1)The evaluation index system of water-saving agriculture, and introducing the procedure and principle about setting up the system was builded . The system contains two contents: a single water-saving technology ( under small scale) and water-saving comprehensive benefit ( under great scale)(2)A new method of agricultural water-saving evaluation—projection pursuit(PP) and improved analytic hierarchy process(RAGA-AHP) were proposed, through analyzing several usual water-saving agriculture methods.(3)Sustainable utilization of water resources,groundwater bearing capacity,groundwater quality and soil quality in the project region was evaluated respectively through using fuzzy matter-element model,matter-element model based on AHP,LOG evaluation model for water quality and LOG evaluation model for soil, so the used degree to water and land resources was evaluated.(4)The new evaluation index system and evaluation methods were adopted and water-saving agriculture in Gannan district was researched specifically.
