Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to explore the syndrome type dist ribution law within the patients of DPN in Shenyang by epidemiology investi gation, and to analyze the relationship with syndrome type and relative dat a, thus to provide objective evidence for clinical syndrome differentiatio n.Material and method:According to the diagnostic criteria and inclusion criteria, 100 cases of DPN was randomly collected from Oct. 2013 to Dec.2014 in Liaoning Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Patients’ info rmation was recorded in aspect of gender, age, physical examination and cli nical syndromes. SPSS 19.0 was applied to select TCM syndrome, and to concl ude common local TCM syndrome types of DPN with Variables Cluster of Hierar chical Cluster. Under the guidance of 2 clinical expert whose title are abo ve sub-senior, syndrome types were decided and their reasons were studied. ANOVA was applied to explore relationship of syndrome types with gender, ag e, course of disease and BMI.Results:(1)Compared with the four-step diagnostic information and Syndrome factors standards, 100 DPN patients were classified into 3 categories finally: Qi and yin deficiency complicated with phlegm-dampness(30%), Yin and Yang deficiency complicated with blood stasis(39%), Yang deficiency complicated with phlegm and blood stasis(31%).(2)In the general information, there were statistically significant difference among 5 types(P<0.05)in age, duration and Body mass index(BMI)(p < 0.05), among which the type of Yin-Yang deficiency and blood stasis had the highest Hb A1 c.(3)Among the patients, there were 51% smoke,30% drunk,41% ate mush fat, 58% did enough sports,and 48% slept well.Conclusion: I n Shenyang, the most common DPN syndrome types are qi and yin deficiency complicated with phlegm-dampness, deficiency of Yang complicated with phlegm and blood stasis, yin and yang deficiency complicated with blood stasis two.
