On the fourth hour, acupuncture group and acupuncture combined medication group showed statistical difference with Chinese drug group (P<0.05), there was no statistically significant difference between acupuncture group and drug group(P>0.05), indicating the two group instantly was superior to the Chinese drug group in antipyretic effect.(2) antipyretic effect:the total effective rate of acupuncture group, the Chinese medicine group, and acupuncture combined medication group were38.9%,40.0%,47.4%, total effective rate was88.9%,90.0%,94.7%respectively, there was no statistically significant difference(P>0.05),indicating each group is nearly same in antipyretic effect. There was no significant statistical difference between antipyretic effect and the degree of fever (P>0.05),indicating each group’s antipyretic effect have no correlation with the degree of fever.2. symptoms curative effect(1) TCM symptoms:there were great significant difference statistical difference for each group (P<0.05),between before and after one day’s treatment, indicating each have effect in improving TCM symptoms. On the third day(72h).There was statistical significant difference among acupuncture combined medication group and other two groups (P<0.05);there was no significant difference between acupuncture and drug group (P>0.05),indicating the curative effect is nearly same for acupuncture group and Chinese drug group, acupuncture combined medication group was better than the other two group.(2) symptoms curative effect:the total effective rate of acupuncture group, the Chinese medicine group, and acupuncture combined medication group were44.4%,45.0%,57.9%, total effective rate were83.3%,85.0%,94.7%respectively, there was no statistically significant difference, indicating each group was nearly same in curative effect. There was no significant statistical difference between symptoms curative effect and the degree of illness (P>0.05), indicating each group’s curative effect have no correlation with the degree of illness.Conclusion:(1) acupuncture group treatment of exogenous fever is superior to the traditional Chinese medicine group in the immediate and short-term fever antipyretic effect.(2) acupuncture group has significant curative effect at the fist three day in immediate effect, there was no statistically significant difference with Chinese medicine group, and acupuncture combined medication group is better than two of it. Through clinical observation, confirmed the antipyretic effect of the acupuncture LI11, LI4, and it is effective in improving the clinical symptoms.
