The annual output accounting for90%of the national in Sichuan province. Chuanxiong Rhizoma is the famous Chinese drugs of Sichuan. Chuanxiong Rhizome is easily degeneration due to insect bites, mildew and extensive diffusion of oil in storage.This subject adopts the modern scientific methods, take the Chuanxiong Rhizoma palametum’s above character as the key point. Through the experimental research, to investigate Chuanxiong Rhizoma and traditional Chinese medicines containing volatile oil the related factors of mutation in storage. According to most Chinese medicine have not valid. At present, there is few reports research of this field. For the clinical medication safety, effective and experimental research on this topic mainly from the following aspects:1. Studies of the quality of Chuanxiong Rhizoma change with temperature, sunlight, air, the association of the storage time.To study the optimal conditions for storage the slices of Chuanxiong Rhizoma by orthogonal design. The storage condition was optimized with illumination, air, temperature, storage time as the observation factors. Each factor set three levels. By observing the appearance change, with the ligustilide and ferulic acid as detection index, the content of ferulic acid and ligustilide were measured by HPLC.Through the statistical analysis, indicates that the factors affecting ferulic acid content in primary and secondary are:time> temperature> air>illumination; Factors influencing the ligustilide content of primary and secondary:temperature> time> illumination>air. When environmental relative humidity is more than60%, Chuanxiong Rhizoma obviously increase the amount of moisture absorption. The humidity environment for storage the slices of Chuanxiong Rhizoma was control the critical relative humidity set below about60%.By HPLC fingerprint research analysis of Chuanxiong Rhizoma storage under different humidity conditions. Wet environment in low and middle humidity condition, effect of the chemical composition of Chuanxiong Rhizoma categories is smaller, high humidity environment impact on the chemical composition class is bigger.3. The volatile components of GC-MS analysisIn the6th month and the15th month storage time, analysis the components change of the slices of Chuanxiong Rhizoma by GC-MS. At the same time, study the slices of Chuanxiong Rhizoma volatile substances move to the packing materials. The experimental results show that:Storage period of volatile components in the late storage types have fallen. Main ingredients trans-ligustilide, butene phthalide, Senkyunolide still contain, etc. By GC-MS analysis of the packaging material, found the antioxidant2246in packaging materials move to the slices of Chuanxiong Rhizoma. The antioxidants BHT in blank packaging didn’t detected in the slices of Chuanxiong Rhizoma.Ingredients of the slices of Chuanxiong Rhizoma like tridecane, tetradecane,(+)-b-snake bed material, pentadecane, espatulenol, butene phthalide, ligustilide and so on move to the packaging material migration. 4. Pest influence the quality of the slices of Chuanxiong RhizomaThrough observation the pests, the mainly moth is Plodia interpunctella, Lasioderma serricorne, Araecerus fasciculatus, and acarid etc. Pest eat the slices of Chuanxiong Rhizoma, the feces pollution the slices. The appearance of Chuanxiong Rhizoma severely affected. The volatile component of ligustilide also effect. The quality of medicinal slices severely affected.Storage of the18th month, in orthogonal9groups, the second and the9th group eat by moth. The9th group is the most serious. The slices of Chuanxiong Rhizoma loss rate reached26%and4.4%respectively.The9th group, the slices of Chuanxiong Rhizoma effective composition content compared with the storage period, the ligustilide content fell by19.142%, the content of ferulic acid content fell by7.510%.
