Observation On The Effect Of Acupoint - Opening Method In The Treatment Of Acute Neck Pain

Objective:In this research, we apply acupoint-pressing and relaxing-tendon method to treat acute neck pain. In order to find a quick, safe, high effective method to release neck pain.Method:There are 61 patients, Apply Doll’s index randomly divided for 2 groups, treatment group and contrat group. For treatment group we apply acupoint-pressing and relaxing-tendon method. We press houxi, EX-jingtong, EX-louzhen, combine with neck exercise. For contract group, we apply local massage method. All patients receive 1 treatment. We apply VSA and SF-MPQ index to measure pain, and NDI index to measure neck function. We inquired all patients before treatment and 30mins after treatment.Result:1. There is no difference between these 2 groups at gender, age, ill time, VAS, McGill index, NDI index. Through treatment, there is no significant nt change (P<0.05) between treatment and contract group. Comparison between groups also shows no significant difference.2. The pain-release rate of treatment group is 96.42%, and for contract group is 96.96%. Neck movement improvement rate is 89.28%, and for contract group is 96.96%. Throught statistic there is no differecence between them.Conclusion:These 2 methods all can release neck pain and neck injury. But acupoint-pressing and relaxing-tendon method is more safe, and quick. it is the characteristic of dongzhimen hospital. This method is very easy to do and more suitball for first-coming (new) patient.
