Ordos basin is a emerging Energy Industry Base in southwest of China, The party and our state leaders as well as all levels of government pay more attention to it. This basin is located in north China continental arid and semi-arid climate zones .Low rainfall and strong evaporation, weak ecological environment in general. The progress of construction in Energy base and industrial layout are restricted by groundwater resources in the basin and the influence of ecology environment after the exploiting of water resources. The development and utilization of water resource will still need attention to the protection of the ecological environment.This study bases on field investigation and academic analysis to ecology problems of the basin. Use NDVI index as an ecology clue with long time series MODIS data and SPOT-VEGETATION data by remote sensing method mathematical statistics Ecological a divide Land cover types in detail. Systematically analysis the environment evolution law and influence factors. Systematic analysis the contact between NDVI and the buried depth of groundwater, ecological groundwater level and vegetation dependency relationship between the deep, basic different landscape ecological environment influence of underground water level of vegetation in the research area, change the research into groundwater exploitation sensitive area of eco-environment effect of vegetation.According to the analysis of the NDVI Index from 2000 to 2008, the situation of vegetation coverage have turned gradually better in recent 10 years, however, parts of the research area vegetation cover is still low, the vegetation coverage situation which is in the southern part of the basin turned to be bad tendency, needing improved. And the work protection of the ecological environment is still severe.The major land-cover type is grassland in this research area, and it accounted for 60% of the total area, the low land-cover grassland takes a majority part. Combined with the land-cover classification principles, and covered the land of research on NDVI regional identification. The cultivated land area of the basin is 1870.5 square kilometers in current research.Analyze the factors which affecting NDVI according to Special landform and hydro-geological conditions. Using ecology and field hydrogeology survey and remote sensing method, combining the quantitative analysis, Analyzing the dependency relationship between vegetation ecosystem and the buried depth of groundwater systematically, And formulate the groundwater resource development vegetation ecology sensitive area.According to the analysis of the evolution trend of vegetation in Ordos Basin, Providing the basis for the groundwater exploitation and ecological environment protection in the Energy Base, And promote the human resources and environment to be harmonious development.
