In arid area of northwest district, the water resource is an important tie between ecosystem and economic system and it is also an important factor in development of society, economy and environment. Thus, to research on water resource carrying capacity can not only recognize evolution laws of water resources in arid area of northwest district, but also there is importance and necessity of this research to solve the sustainable development of water resources with the development of social economy and ecological environment.Dengmaying Region in this dissertation, which locates at west fringe of Tenggeli Desert, is one of larger lacustrine basin in desert. This region is gradually becoming the population immigration district of Minqin and Wuwei in recent years, and because groundwater level of this lake region is shallow and its water quality is good, and quantity of exploiting groundwater is increasing day by day. Thus, we should make research and analysis on water resource carrying capacity in this area and put forward corresponding suggestions which can reasonably distribute water resources. Specific contents are as follows:(1) To make an analysis on supply origin and water level trends of groundwater in this lake region. By the research on hydrologic and geological conditions of Dengmaying Region, the author knows that Dengmaying Lake was a terminal lake of Gulang River in history and it was gradually deserted and dry in the Holocene, it formed an alluvial- lacustrine basin with shallow water level and better water quality because of the influence of the northern Alagu-Qingshan fault.(2) To make an evaluation of present situation of groundwater resources. This dissertation makes a systematic evaluation of present situation of groundwater resources in this district on the base of former research achievements combining with natural environment and artificial factor. Result indicates that amount of present water resources supply is 6855.59×10~4 m~3, available quantity of exploiting groundwater of groundwater is 4200×10~4 m~3.(3) To forecast groundwater regime in Dengmaying Region. Supply origins of natural groundwater are precipitation recharge > condensation recharge and lateral recharge. Although precipitation in this region is small, supply area is large, evaporation and excretory is concentrate;so change of water level trends of groundwater is not obvious in short term.?To make an analysis on carrying capacity of water resources under the condition of sustainable development in Dengmaying Region. This dissertation will establish a multi-aim carrying capacity analysis model, make analysis and forecast on carrying capacity of water resources in Dengmaying Region, and put forward different distribution plans of water resources optimization. Through the demonstration of fact, to energetically develop the areas of economic crops and meadow is the basic approach of exploiting the largest economic and ecological benefit of water resources in Dengmaying region.
