The Study On Layout Of Ports Along Qingdao Coast

There are 49 bays along 710.9 km meander coast in Qingdao. Some bays such as Jiaozhou Bay and Qian Bay are good natural sites to build ports. Nowadays, Qingdao Port is one of key port in China after development in hundred years. It is still very necessary to study the new layout of ports along Qingdao coast due to difference between output demand and handling ability as well as the unbalance of ports scale.Based on many times on-the-spot investigation and hard collection of available information and data, the thesis summarizes the current situation of various kind of ports along Qingdao coast, analyzes the advantages and disadvantages in recent and near future development, forecast the possible port output in 2010 and 2020, 2.4×10~9 and 3.6×10~9 , respectively. Following further analyzes of the remaining suitable resources along Qingdao coast, a new layout is worked out, namely including 10 comprehensive port areas including one prepared; 1 port are for public affair ships, 2 for liner, 11 for fishery ships, 9 for yachts and 20 for touring and ferry between land and island.In the study of the layout, guidance is followed that those parts of coast suitable for ports and ships construction should be considered for the first. The natural and social situations are both included. The advices for those parts to be functionally adjusted are proposed as well as the measures to increase the development for port development.The obtained new layout can be served for the government judgment and management of the limited and one-time resources so as to harness them orderly and sustainably.
