Desertification is the biggest ecological problem in the world, In recent years desertifica-tion becoming worse, there are many researches about desert movement in different research areas and have achieved significant results, but we find few studies about desertification in differential equation area, In this paper the interaction between sandy land and spares vegetation in oasis-desert eco-tone was analyzed and based an the analysis, a mathematical model for predicting desertification was presented and verified using Minfeng oasis as an example. The Runge-Kutta scheme was applied to the model. Dynamic changes of sandy land were conducted using remote sensing technology, and the trend of desertification was predicted with the mathematical model.The result was fairly well.The model is simple and will be very useful in predicting and managing desertification.This work consists five sections.Section 1 is preface.we explain the seriousness of desertification,introduce study conditions.In section 2, we give theoretical bases of the model,model hypothesis and construct predicting model, at the end of this section give qualitative analysis.In section 3,we give model validation using Minfeng Oasis as an example.In section 4,give prediction for future desertification on Cele Oasis.In section 5,give conclusion for the thesis.
