Study Of Direct Liquefaction Properties Of Wucaiwan Coal Sample With High Inertinite From Xinjiang

As a subject of Wucaiwan coal sample, it was investigated that the coal sample was treated using swelling solvents of THF, Pyri., and NMP/CS2(V1:V2=1:1) at conditions of natural and microwave,respectively, as well as effect of them direct liquefaction properties. Results show that:⑴the coal has high inertinite of 81.5%, presents floc on TEM, and has abundant interspace and loose structure. At T=465℃, maximal weightlessness rate of coal sample is 1.75%/min. At T=800℃, weight loss is about 31%.⑵Oil yield is up to 55.20%, gas 9.73%, conversion 76.76% at conditions of initial H2 pressure being 6.0MPa, ratio of mass for solvent to coal 1.75, reaction 60min, reaction temperature 450℃.⑶NMP/CS2- swollen coal is significant at natural and microwave conditions pre-treatment coal with swelling solvent for THF, Pyri., and NMP/CS2.⑷Natural swelling with R0max=1.87 at swelling 6h leads to larger weight loss and weightlessness rate at lower temperature. At T=460℃, maximal weightlessness rate of NMP/CS2-natural swollen coal is 1.33%/min. At T=800℃, weight loss is about 41.5%. IR analysis indicated that more weak no-covalent bonds broke for NMP/CS2-natural swollen coal. Oil yield is up to 70.09%, gas 3.36%, conversion 82.06%. Relative to raw coal, gas yield reduces 6.37 points of percent, and oil yield increases 14.89 points of percent, conversion 5.3.⑸At T=460℃, maximal weightlessness rate of NMP/CS2-natural swollen coal is 1.35%/min. At T=800℃, weight loss is about 42%. NMP/CS2-microwave swell only 15 min under 700 W, then oil yield is up to 74.03%, gas 3.56%, conversion 84.78%. Relative to raw coal, gas yield reduces 6.17 points of percent, and oil yield increases 18.81 points of percent, conversion 8.02. In conclusion, both of swelling ways can improve direct liquefaction properties of Wucaiwan coal with high inertinite remarkably.
