| The level of NC technology is one of the important symbol of the manufacturing industry capability of one country. With the quickly development of computer technology and machine tools technology, CNC machining simulation is becoming a very important area in numerical control technology. It can simulate the manufacture process of the part to test the NC program, and show various problems in actual manufacturing probably. So it can shorten the product development period, reduce the production costs, raise the product quality, and can be regarded as the development tool of new machine tools.In this paper, VERICUT which is a very powerful NC simulation and analysis software and CAXA Manufacture Engineer which is a CAD/CAM software are to combine to establish a virtual 3-axis vertical milling machine and its tools crib, and complete the virtual manufacture to typical parts. The main contents are following:(1)Study and research the various function modules of VERICUT system in depth, and use its machine modeling module to establish the kinematics model and geometry model of the milling machine, and equip FANUC NC system to it.(2)Use the tool module of VERICUT to establish the tools crib which contains three typical milling cutters.(3)The virtual models of the parts are established with the CAXA Manufacture Engineer, then the manufacture track and NC program (G code) of the three-D surface are accomplished with its CAM function.(4)The virtual machine tools, tools crib and the program are inputted into the VERICUT system. Then the dynamic machine simulation is carried out with VERICUT, and the tool path is optimized and the production quality is checked up. So the complete virtual machine process is achieved.The theoretical part of the research is verified by experiment。The part manufactured by real machine tool is compared with the result made in VERICUT.The above research proves that doing NC machine simulation through VERICUT and CAXA Manufacture Engineer is a effective method.
