As the core of the manufacturing industry, the development of the machine tool industry has been influncing the security and economy of a country, and Virtual machine is one of the hot research subjects of virtual manufacturing technology (VMT). VMT is the index of CNC machine tools in the virtual environment, which combines manufacturing technology,CNC machine theory,computer aided design(CAD),computer aided manufacturing(CAM) and simulation technology., with NC machining simulation as major content, Virtual Machine Tool can remarkably shorten the cycle of exploitation, reduce the cost of production and improve the quality of product, and now it is widely used. In addition, vocational and technical colleges have the responsibility for the training of professional students, and there are more and more students in school, but the machine is relatively less. Concerned about that, this pager give the research for CNC milling machine with MasterCAM which is CAD/CAM software and Vericut which is computer simulation software to ease the situation of shortage of teaching resources, save the teaching cost and make the teaching largely safe.Firstly, simulations of CNC machining key technologies are studied. Including the principle of numerical simulation, virtual CNC machine tool function of configuration, interference checking, machine tool motion parameters set, tool compensation technology, rough and fixture system modeling modules to create ACE-V500-based virtual CNC machining system platform.Secondly, the virtual models of part and rough part are established with the CAD model in MasterCAM, and tool path is finished in CAM model, and the G/M code file is completed in post-processing model. Virtual CNC machine and tool file are established in Vericut, then NC machining simulation is carried out, and the tool path is optimized and the production quality is checked up. In the end, combination of geometric and physical simulation is tested. the theoretical part of the research is verified correctly, and the research of virtual NC machining technology based on MasterCAM and Vericut is a realistic significance.
