Research And Detect On Desertification In The Bohai Circle Economic Region By Remote Sensing

Desertification is one of the most serious environment and social economicproblem nowadays in the world. Desertification causes extensive concern ofinternational academia with its development speed and serious calamity. It's verysignificant to study quantitatively the relationship between desertification drivefactors and desertification, based on that to fight against the development ofdesertification.The Bohai circle economic region includes Hebei province, Liaoning province,Shandong province, Tianjin and Beijing. Based on field research and the dynamicanalysis of remote sensing data of different time (20th70 MSS, 20th80 TM and 21thETM), using multi-information of research area (including data of geology, geography,soil, hydrology, meterology, economy, human culture and so on) and existing researchresults, the dissertation discusses drive factors of desertification and the relationshiosbetween drive factors and desertification with the help of GIS tool and somemathematical methods such as probability, statistics and analytic hierarchy process.Then find out the major drive factor and the development rules of desertification.Bsed on comprehensive analysis above, the dissertation puts forward the idea thatdesertification is a complicated geological phenomena caused by the complexinteraction of the earth's layers during the course of geoevolution. Climatic variationis main factor affecting desertification. The sustained period of water deficit is a directcause of desertification in arid and semi-arid areas. The tectonic activities oflithosphere control the distribution of desertification by constructing geomorphology.The loss of biological productivity mainly caused by climate variability andunsustainable human activity leads to the fast development of desertification.According to the occurring and developing characteristics of the desertification inthe research region, the dissertation puts forward systemic measures and proposes tofight against desertification. The dissertation provides a scientific decision-makingfoundation for fighting aginst desertification in the research region to realize theland's rational utilizing and the sustainable development of region's society, economyand environment.
