Clinical Experience Study And Analysis On Professor Wang Xiu Xia’s Pattern Of Medication Use In The Treatment Of Infertility

Purpose:Collect and sort Professor Wang Xiu Xia’s cases in the treatment of infertility.Through analysis with SPSS 22.0 software,summarize Professor Wang Xiu Xia’s commonly used herb pairs,herb groups,herb use characteristics and academic thoughts in the treatment of infertility.Methods:The medical records of Professor Wang Xiu Xia’s treatment of infertility from September 2016 to December 2018 were sorted and organized.Then starting from a Chinese herbal standpoint,the relevant decoctions were further analyzed.The initial prescriptions of the patients were analyzed with SPSS 22.0 software using the methods of frequency analysis,cluster analysis and factor analysis.Then,Professor Wang Xiu Xia’s academic thoughts were summarized according to her syndrome differentiation and formula compositions.Results:1.Frequency analysis results: Among 333 prescriptions,130 kinds of traditional Chinese herbs were used,with a total use frequency of4867 times.Among them,the main herbs for treating infertility are the first 49 kinds of traditional Chinese herbs with a use frequency of more than 20 times,and a cumulative frequency of 92.48%.The core group of herbs used to treat infertility is the top 25 traditional Chinese herbs with the total use frequency of more than 84 times,and a cumulative frequency of 68.79%.In the statistical analysis of the four qis,the most frequently used herbs are the warm-type herbs,followed by the neutral-type herbs,and then the mildly-warm and mildly-cold herbs.In the statistical analysis of the five flavors,sweet-type herbs appeared the most frequently,followed by pungent and bitter herbs,followed by sour,slightly sweet,astringent,salty,bland,slightly bitter,and slightly pungent herbs.Statistical analysis according to channeltropism shows that the most frequently used herbs were affiliated with the Liver,Kidney,Spleen,Heart and Lung meridians.Herb class statistical analysis showed that the most frequently used herb type was deficiency tonifying herbs,followed by blood invigorating and stasis removing herbs,heat clearing herbs,astringent herbs,phlegm dissolving anti-cough anti-asthmatic herbs,regulating qi herbs,reducing dampness and promoting diuresis herbs,wind damp expelling herbs,damp dissolving herbs,mind calming herbs,calm the Liver and extinguish wind herbs,releasing the exterior herbs,dissolving food stagnation herbs,interior warming herbs,hemostatic herbs,purgative herbs,and open the orifices herbs.2.Cluster analysis results: Cluster analysis was used to analyze the data of the first 49 traditional Chinese medicines,which had a total use frequency of more than 92.48%,and a use frequency of more than 20 times.Analysis found that commonly used herbs that had a treatment effect on infertility consisted of 13 two-herb pairings,six 3-herb groups,and 4 multiple-herbs groups.3.Factor analysis results : Factor analysis was used to analyze the data of 49 traditional Chinese medicines with a total use frequency of more than 92.48% and a use frequency of more than 20 times.After analysis,12 common factors were found which reflected the internal etiology and pathogenesis of infertility from multiple aspects,as well as Professor Wang Xiu Xia’s treatment methods and principles in the treatment of infertility.Conclusion:1.In treatment of infertility,the majority of herbs are warm and neutral,the flavors are sweet,pungent,and bitter,and in function are tonifying deficiency,invigorating blood and dissolving stagnation,and clearing heat herbs.Commonly used herbs include Dan Shen(Salvia miltiorrhiza),Shan Zhu Yu,(Corni Fructus),Du Zhong(Eucommiabark),Ba Ji Tian(Morinda root),Ji Xue Ten(Spatholobi Caulis),Xiang Fu(Cyperi Rhizome),Shan Yao(Chinese yam),Yin Yang Huo(Epimedii Herba),Dang Gui(Angelica sinensis Radix),Fu Pen Zi(Rubi Fructus),Sheng Di(Rehmanniae Radix),Chuan Xiong(Chuanxiong Rhizoma),Yi Mu Cao(Leonuri Herba),Ze Lan(Lycopi Herba),Xia Ku Cao(Prunellae Spica),Chi Shao(Paeoniae Radix rubra),Tu Si Zi(Cuscutae Semen),Lu Jiao Shuang(Cornu cervi),Xian Mao(Curculiginis Rhizoma),Yu Jin(Curcumae radix),Gan Cao(Glycyrrhizae Radix),Cang Zhu(Atractylodes rhizome),Zhe Bai Mu(Fritillaria bulb of Zhejiang),Bie Jia(Trionycis Carapax),Fu Ling(Poria),etc.2.In the treatment of infertility,there are 35 drug pairs and drug groups that are commonly used.These reflects the herbal use characteristics employed by Professor Wang Xiu Xia.These are used by Professor Wang Xiu Xia according to different conditions and as groups,have the functions of tonifying Kidney and regulating menstruation,tonifying the Liver and Kidney,creating blood and replenishing essence,invigorating blood and removing blood stasis,soothing the Liver and regulating qi,drying dampness and dissolving phlegm,and softening masses and dispersing accumulations.The functions of each group of herbs embody Professor Wang Xiu Xia’s thought processes and special characteristics of formula prescription in the treatment of infertility.3.Professor Wang Xiu Xia uses the cycle of the menses in the treatment of infertility,divided into the first half and the second half.In the first half of the menstrual cycle,the main principles are to tonify the Kidney and replenish the essence,and nourish Kidney and invigorate blood.In the second half of the menstrual cycle,the main treatment principles are to tonify the Kidney and warm the Yang,and soothe the Liver and invigorate the blood.4.Professor Wang Xiu Xia’s academic thoughts on the treatment of infertility are divided into the following main points: Emphasize the Liver and Kidney as well as the Spleen and Stomach.Use herbal medication according to the stage in the menstrual cycle.Integration of Chinese and Western medicine and treat both the disease and syndrome.Pay attention to emotions and mood to treat the mind and body together.
