Part one Literature ResearchThis study basing on reference to domestic and foreign literature and the understanding of the research status on optic nerve diseases, traced the origins and mastered the understanding of from the Inner Canon of Huangdi to the Tang and Song Yuan Ming and Qing Dynasties period and the modern doctors’ about pathogenesis and treatment of this disease and studied the methods and outcomes of chinese medicine and western medicine treatment on optic nerve diseases in recent years, and laid a solid theoretical foundation for clinical research.Part two Clinical Research1. ObjectiveUsing the "complex network analysis method" to excavate and analyze Professor Li Zhiying’s prescriptions of treating optic nerve diseases and to get a system summary of Professor Li’s ideas on etiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment strategies of optic nerve diseases. To study and inherit Professor Li’s academic experience of diagnosis and treatment of optic nerve diseases using chinese medicine and western medicine.2. MethodBy using the method of retrospective study, collected into the ordinary situation of patients, western medicine diagnosis, chinese medicine diagnosis, visual acuity, visual field, VEP etc. biochemical detection indexes (blood routine test, blood biochemistry six etc.), chinese medicine prescription of Professor Li Zhiying, western medicine, chinese medicine injections and other treatment. Using the "complex network analysis method" to excavate and analyze Professor Li Zhiying’s clinical experience of treating optic nerve diseases.3. Result(1) Optic nerve diseases belong to traditional chinese medicine’s sudden blindness, visual dizziness, Qingmang etc. Sudden blindness accounted for most of TCM diagnosis of optic neuritis, TCM diagnosis of ischemic optic neuropathy is mainly of visual dizziness, and TCM diagnosis of optic atrophy is mainly of Qingmang.(2) Professor thinks that qi stagnation and blood stasis, Xuanfu occlusion and qi deficiency and blood stasis, Xuanfu occlusion is the basic pathogenesis of optic nerve diseases. Optic neuritis and ischemic optic neuropathy are both mainly to qi stagnation and blood stasis, Xuanfu occlusion.(3) Dispersing the stagnated liver-qi, activating circulation to remove blood stasis, invigorating the spleen, and opening up Xuanfu are the basic treatments of optic nerve diseases of Professor. Dispersing the stagnated liver-qi often choose Bupleurum and Fructus aurantii. Activating circulation to remove blood stasis often choose Peach kernel, Safflower, Panax notoginseng, Salvia etc. Invigorating the spleen often choose Astragalus and Codonopsis. Opening up Xuanfu often choose Passepartout and Shichangpu.(4) Professor thinks that treatment of optic neuritis and ischemic optic neuropathy should be phased. The treatment in the acute stage is mainly of combined treatment of traditional chinese and western medicine. The treatment in the rehabilitation stage is mainly of syndrome differentiation of TCM.(5) Professor thinks that the optic nerve atrophy treatment focuses on "prevention", Measures should be taken to prevent visual nerve atrophy in optic nerve disease early onset.(6) Professor emphasizes the same diseases with different treatments, different diseases with the same treatments and combination of disease and syndrome differentiation in clinical practice. He thinks that simple syndrome differentiation cannot reflect the pathological characteristics between diseases and differentiating diseases can not reflect the difference of different physical patients.4. ConclusionProfessor thinks that qi stagnation and blood stasis/qi deficiency and blood stasis, Xuanfu occlusion is the basic pathogenesis of optic nerve diseases;Dispersing the stagnated liver-qi, activating circulation to remove blood stasis, invigorating the spleen, and opening up Xuanfu are the basic treatments of optic nerve diseases. Professor emphasizes the same diseases with different treatments, different diseases with the same treatments and combination of disease and syndrome differentiation in clinical practice. Professor thinks that treatment of Optic nerve disease should be phased, in the development process of optic nerve disease should take different treatment strategies of TCM or combined treatment of traditional chinese and western medicine. He emphasizes that measures should be taken to prevent visual nerve atrophy in the course of treatment.
