Wang Mengying’s Academic Experience In Treating Epidemic Diseases

Objective: By refining the academic thought of disease differentiation and treatment in Wang Mengying’s monograph,and taking Wang Mengying’s disease related medical records as data support,we can enrich and improve the theoretical system of disease differentiation and treatment of traditional Chinese medicine,and provide objective data support and reference for relevant clinical and experimental research.Methods: By using the methods of literature research and theoretical research,this paper discusses the principles,methods,prescriptions,drugs and prognosis of Wang Mengying’s differentiation and treatment of epidemic diseases from many aspects,such as etiology,pathogenesis,syndrome differentiation,diagnosis and treatment.Secondly,through data mining of the medical record data about epidemic diseases in Wang Mengying’s medical case works,the mathematical analysis and calculation of the contained prescription information are carried out,and the objective analysis of drug use is carried out.Results: 1.Wang Mengying believed that the epidemic was caused by the mixture of the epidemic and the four seasons and six evils,which was infectious.2.The key to the treatment of epidemic disease lies in the spleen and stomach of the central focus,which is both the basis of acquired disease and the pivot of the ascending and descending of qi.It is difficult to treat the disease because the evil cannot be trapped and the internal stasis cannot be collapsed.3.Impurity gas has the characteristics of six evils,and enters from the mouth and nose.Therefore,it can also be seen from the beginning of the epidemic.4.In the process of diagnosis and treatment,great attention is paid to the changes caused by the retention of evil spirits,and the treatment is based on "modulation".5.Based on the summary of Wang Mengying’s monographs and medical records,five major diseases including malaria,cholera,dysentery,smallpox,and rotting throat,involving internal,external,gynaecological,and pediatric disciplines,including 75 cases of malaria in medical records,involving 173 drugs;30 cases of cholera,involving 123drugs;35 cases of dysentery,involving 135 drugs;3 cases of rotten throat;1case of smallpox.(1)Wang Mengying’s theory on the treatment of seasonal malaria is based on the basic principle of eliminating pathogenic factors and intercepting malaria,dispelling pathogenic factors and relieving fever,regulating the central mechanism,paying attention to the role of qi in the differentiation and treatment,and taking care of yin fluid.According to the analysis of medical records of malaria,the top five high-frequency drugs are Zhuru,Scutellaria baicalensis,Anemarrhena asphodeloides,Dendrobium,and Coptis chinensis.The drug properties are mainly cold,followed by warm and mild;The taste of the medicine is mainly sweet and bitter,but less pungent;The lung channel is the most important channel.Zhuru,Anemarrhena,Trichosanthin,Scutellaria baicalensisCoptis chinensis is a core drug;Four drug pairs with high confidence were compared in the binomial associated drug group,and five drug connect the living water,and list the medicine and food conditioning after the cholera is cured,and choose the Ganping product to maintain the middle coke.According to the analysis of cholera medical records,the drugs used more than 20 times are coix seed,coptis chinensis,and Zhuru,most of which are heat-clearing and damp-removing products.Zhuru,Lugualuo,coix seed have the strongest correlation with drugs,and respect and damp-removing is the core drug,with the addition and subtraction of scutellaria baicalensis,evodia rutaecarpa,reed root,papaya,and gladiolus.(3)The pathogenesis of dysentery,damp-heat stagnation and burning qi and blood,should be based on the principle of removing dampness and clearing heat,following the principle of dispersing dampness and heat,channeling qi and promoting blood circulation,guiding according to the situation,eliminating accumulation and guiding stagnation;Skillfully use the above treatment methods,and combine qi medicine to help heat transmission and dehumidification;Supplemented with sweet,cold and nourishing products,it can clear heat and protect yin,and prevent the dangerous syndrome of fluid exhaustion and dry up.According to the analysis of medical records of dysentery,there are 6 kinds of drugs with a frequency of≥ 20 times,including coptis chinensis,honeysuckle,chinaberry,Pulsatilla chinensis,scutellaria baicalensis and dendrobium.The drug properties are mainly cold,followed by warm and mild;The taste of the medicine is sweet,followed by bitter and spicy;The lung and stomach meridians account for the largest proportion in meridian tropism;Pulsatilla,coptis chinensis,phellodendron amurense and honeysuckle belong to the core drugs,that is,the preparation of Pulsatilla decoction.13 cluster drug combinations were obtained,mainly bitter,cold,dry and wet,and compatible with the products of invigorating spleen,benefiting stomach,clearing heat and resolving phlegm.Conclusion(s): Wang Mengying’s differentiation and treatment of epidemic diseases focused on the spleen and stomach in the middle energizer.In the process of diagnosis and treatment,he paid close attention to the "heat" aspect of the eight principles of dialectics,and focused on cold and cool products.Secondly,we should pay special attention to the problems of stagnation of qi and retention of evil heat,and often use drugs to
