Study On Theory Of Value Based Medical Information Maturity And Its Evaluation Model

Nowadays, the medical information is widely applied in hospitals, which fuels the hospital advancement and enhances the collaboration among hospitals like adhesive. Information will become a kind of medical resource in the future and the aim of information management is to provide the managers with appropriate information to aid the strategy making at proper time and under proper condition. The construction of information system can facilitate the use of information by medical staff and management; however, it fails to improve the value creation of medical institutions. The construction of medical information system is not equal to the use of it. Therefore, basing on the excellent information system, we need to make use of the multiple effects of medical information maturity to magnify the business value of medical information system. In this article, we introduced the information maturity theory in IT field and chosed the medical information as the research subject. After analyzing the knowledge management, value chain, and information strategies, we explored the content, characteristics, function, and influence factors of hospital information maturity model and constructed the frame of medical information maturity model (MIMM). After making a comparison and an empirical analysis on the problems existing in the medical institutions at all levels, we at last constructed a hospital information maturity model for general use.
