Research Of Acupuncture Effect Based On Brain Functional Area Analysis With FMRI

Object:To observe the influence of acupuncture of Shenmen(HT7) Daling(PC7) and Sanyinjiao(SP6) at average person and depression patient on neuro-images in different cerebral regions by fMRI.Methods:Thirty two healthy volunteers were divided into four groups. Acupuncture stimulation was given at right Shenmen(HT7). right Daling (PC7),right Sanyinjiao(SP6) and Points Group; Ten depression patients were enrolled in the research. Acupuncture stimulation was given at right Shenmen(HT7), Daling (PC7), and Sanyinjiao(SP6) in each subject with the stimulating pattern of "rest-stimulation-rest-stimulation-rest". The fMRI data were analyzed with SPM5software package.Result:The activating areas of acupuncture at Shenmen(HT7) were mainly on the cerebral of BA(10/13/47/22/40/44); The activating areas of acupuncture at Daling(PC7) were mainly on the cerebral of BA(46/47/22/10/45/44/9/6/40). The activating areas of acupuncture at Sanyinjiao(SP6) were mainly on the cerebral of BA(41/22/8/40/8/46/9/44/6). The activating areas of acupuncture at points group were mainly on the cerebral of BA(8/9/41/46/47).
