Study On Vitiligo's Traditional Chinese Medicinal Literature And On The Law Of Its Prescriptions, Herbs, And Treatments Based On Syndrome Differiation

By using philological method, the article gathers and trims the ancient Chinese medicinal literature , systemically analyzes the evolution of vitiligo's name , etiopathogenesis , syndrome differiation, with a general trimming of correlated prescriptions and herbs .It tries to know the evolution law of its treatments based on syndrome differiation, thus lays a philological foundation for further study.From the usage of internal and external medicinal herbs, frequency analysis, factors analysis, clustering analysis of ancient 169 prescriptions treating vitiligo ( of which ,86 are internally used, and 83 are externally used) show the law and characteristics of vitiligo's syndromes and treatments in ancient Chinese which can be divided into two periods ,that is, pre-Yuan dynasty and Ming-Qing dynasty. Combined with the theories of TCM, the study gets a new conclusion that vitiligo is caused by asthenia of skin's yin-blood and invasion of a pathogenic factor called feng. It's asthenia in root and sthenia in manifestation. It also discusses the criterion of naming, gives the study of poisonous herbs new ideas. This will provides new ways for the standardization of vitiligo's clinical treatment, teaching, and research.
