Enhancement of Expansion by Using a New Type Expander In order to search for the new method to increase the rate of tissue expansion.We used the new type of expander which could delivery chemical agents to expand guinea pig back skin . 36 guinea pigs weighing about 600 g were divided into 4 groups: A -using general expander and the injection port was injected Natural Salt (NS) only; B—using new type bitumen expander to inject NS and papaverine .C-Using general expander and injected NS combined with papaverine.D—using general expander an were implanted under the skin deep to the panniculus muscle as forepart A,B,C. only, but not expansion. Measurement of the rate and area of expansion showed that that there was statistically significantly increase in these parameters as compared with control groups ,which showed when came to the same intraexpander pressure group B need more NS injection . the general expander couldn't delivery papaverine effectively. The blood level of B was high compare with A and C before expansion and after expansion 5,10,30,60,90,180 minutes .the immediate retraction ratios of skin of A.B.C were 28.23+₁.67, 20,79+₁.89,27.04+₁.54,respectively (p<0.01) .histologic examination of the expanded tissue suggests that the thickness of the epidermis of B was thicker than C and A. the dermis was not significant different in three groups .the panniculus camosus was significant thinning on expansion groups to D. The deep connective tissue was statistically thinning in B.
