Sustainable Development Study In Ecological Vulnerable Ecotone In The West Part Of Heilongjiang Province China

Based on the theories and methods of botany, landscape ecology, as well as system approaches, analyzed the types of plant population, and the laws of plant population succession in the region of ecotone in the west part of Heilongjiang province. Divided the region into three sub-regions according to some indicators, and analyzed the physical environment, ecological issues, the characteristics of population and economy, vulnerability of natural resources and environment, and put forward some countermeasures for promotion of sustainable development at a local level. Analyzed the features of landscape in the case study region. Through studying the sustainable development in the region, tried to use system approach methods and found some useful indicators to calculate the index of sustainable development at a local level. And put forward a sustainable planning model for the west part in Heilongjiang province.The results demonstrated that water fators are the main factors resulted in the local plant population succession. While climate change caused the vulnerability of environment factors in the west, part of Heilongjiang province. During the past years recently, population increasing and human being economic activities are the principal power for the landscape change in the region. In the study area, there are 95 types of plant population, which indicate the special environment, and the plant succession resulted from the climate change and human activities in the region. There are three sub-regions in the study area. In the region, there are different patches distributed in the region. And there are different results in the three sub-regions of the landscape dominance index, patch density, edge density, as well as fraction division. Through the approach of hierarchy, some indicators for sustainable development at local level were chosen and applied to analyze the local sustainable development for a case study. The increasing of population is the main issue for local sustainable development. That the local sustainable development should according to a scientific planning as a suggestion was put forward.
