As a necessity of people’s life, vegetable is an important research object of agricultural production at home and abroad. In this thesis, based on the status quo of the selenium-enriched high-mountain vegetable industry in Lichuan City, the methods of questionnaire surveys,on-site visits and literature review were used to comprehensively investigated the types, production methods, storage and transportation and other main links of the selenium-enriched high-mountain vegetable in the city. The analysis methods of PEST and Michael Porter’s Five Forces Model were used to analyze the advantages of the industry and the market competitiveness of the products. In response to the above issues, corresponding countermeasures were proposed, hoping to provide certain reference for the future development of the selenium-enriched high-mountain vegetable industry. The study results are as follows:1.In 2021,the planting area of ecological high-mountain vegetables in Lichuan City reached 38,335.25 hm2,with the yield exceeding 160 wt,the yield value of RMB1.067 billion, accounting for 12.8% of the total agricultural yield value. With the increasing area and yield year by year,it has become the largest summer selenium-enriched high-mountain vegetable production base in Enshi Prefecture. In the high mountain area of Lichuan City, there are mainly rhizomes and Chinese cabbage such as white radish, and cabbage and eggplant fruits such as cabbage, dominated by two local characteristic vegetables: Lichuan Brasenia schreberi and Lichuan Chinese yam.The vegetable industry has inherent geographical advantages, abundant selenium resources, strong market competitiveness, and has basically established a complete vegetable industry service system.2.There are also some problems:(1)the modernization level is low,and its production and processing links(land preparation, sowing, seedling cultivation, planting, weeding, fertilization, harvesting, processing, and storage)are mainly carried out by manual work;(2)there are many restrictive factors for industrialization and a low level of organizational culture, and the production, processing, and sales of vegetables are mainly based on farmers;(3)the standardized production and management level is low,and the vegetable quality issues are prominent;(4)the post-harvest processing links are weak, and ecological and environmental issues are increasingly prominent, affecting the sustainable and healthy development of selenium-enriched high-mountain vegetables;(5)the branding construction is insufficient, and farmers and market entities have a vague concept of brand.3.To improve the level of selenium-enriched high-mountain vegetable industry in Lichuan City, the following countermeasures and suggestions were proposed:(1)to improve the modernization level of production methods and technologies on the basis of traditional agricultural production;(2)to fully make use of resource advantages to redesign the development layout of the vegetable industry, and improve market competitiveness;(3)to strictly abide by agricultural standardization policies and improve the standardized production and management level of vegetable products;(4)to form a pattern integrating production, processing, and sales, and improve the level of post-harvest technical treatment;(5)to explore the famous brand vegetables among high-mountain vegetables, increase brand building efforts, and create brand effects. |
